The Smoke Detector Pole

The Smoke Detector Pole Is made out of Stainless Steel and telescopes from a collapsed 8 inches to an extended total length of 5 feet. To collapse the sections requires a force of 3000 grams, or approximately 4 pounds of force. This gives the Pole its strength in order to exert pressure on the smoke detector buttons.

Just pull on the end of the top section and extend it out to the length required.

         Each section extends the Pole approximately 4.25 inches making it versatile in length for most heights.

The tip is what makes the Pole unique. It was designed to fit of the rounded button on a lot of the smoke detectors installed in rental property. If you are an inspector  or a maintenance man and have ever tried to push a rounded head button with a rounded object, such as a broom handle, you know what I mean. In units that have ten foot ceilings this has always been a chore and problem.
